General Wood Panel Doors are an excellent choice for all purpose use. The classic good looks of the Wood Panel Door are suitable for any type building.

SPECIFICATIONS
General manufactures Commercial/Industrial Wood Panel Doors in two thicknesses: The “Pacemaker” is a 1-3/8” thick. The “Kent” is 1-3/4” thick. All other door specifications are identical.
Stiles and Rails:
Continuous, one piece (no finger joints), of the finest quality, clear, kiln dried “B” or better West Coast lumber. Door section joints are assembled with 5/8” hardwood dowels and waterproof glue, and pinned with steel sash pins. Meeting rails are rabbeted for weather tight closure between sections.
Stile Dimensions:
End stiles are 5-3/8” or 7-1/4” on doors over 18’2” wide. Intermediate stiles are 3-3/8”.
Rail Dimensions:
Top rails are 3-1/2”. Intermediate rails are 3-7/8” combined dimensions shiplapped for a tight weather seal between sections. Bottom rails are 5-3/8”. Doors over 16’2” wide have 7-1/4” rails.
Panels:
1/4” Hardboard. Doors are available factory glazed or with open panels for special or with open panels for special field glazing. Plywood panels are optionally available.

All sections of General Wood Panel Doors are supplied factory sanded (after assembly), ready for painting.

TRACK & HARDWARE SPECIFICATIONS:
Track:
Heavy gauge galvanized steel track shall be 2” or 3” (as required). Track shall be bracket or continuous angle mounted for wood jambs, or reverse angle mounted for steel jambs (requires door to lap opening by one inch). Vertical track shall be tapered for weather tight closure. Horizontal track shall be reinforced with galvanized angle engineered for door size. All reinforcing angle and mounting brackets to be welded to track.
Hardware:
All hinges and roller brackets to be heavy galvanized steel. All rollers to have ball bearings with hardened races. Galvanized aircraft type lift cable to have minimum 7:1 safety factor. Counter balance assembly shall consist of torsion springs mounted on a continuous shaft, or extension springs. Oil tempered steel spring wire for all springs.
